As of March 2022, China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) has announced 10 major project bid wins, disclosing the projects and amounts won by the company in 2021. According to statistics, CRCC won a total of 64 rail transit construction projects in 2021, with a total bid amount of RMB 311.1026 billion. Among them, there were 19 urban rail transit construction projects, totaling RMB 57.2191 billion; and 45 railway construction projects, totaling RMB 253.8835 billion (note: there seems to be a typo in the original text, which should be billion instead of yuan for the total investment of railway projects).
From the 64 projects compiled by the editor, the following characteristics can be observed:
There is a significant variation in the number of projects won among member units, with CRCC 4th Bureau winning the most projects.
In terms of the bid-winning projects, forming bidding consortia is the main way for CRCC to secure large-scale projects. For instance, the Shenzhen Urban Rail Transit Line 8 Phase III general construction contract was won with a bid amount of RMB 8.077 billion; the construction unit price contracts for the newly built Chongqing-Kunming High-Speed Railway's YKYGZQ-2, YKYGZQ-3, YKYGZQ-7, YKCYZQ-6, and YKCYZQ-7 sections were won jointly with a bid amount exceeding RMB 22.481 billion. These large-value projects were all won by consortia.
In 2021, CRCC's bid amount for rail transit project construction significantly increased compared to 2020.

Urban Rail Transit Projects
CRCC, CRCC 1st Bureau, CRCC 2nd Bureau, CRCC Tunnel Bureau, and CRCC Guangzhou Engineering Bureau won the general construction contract for Chongqing Rail Transit Line 15 Phase I (K53+633.739 to K72+824) with a bid amount of RMB 6,059.24 million and a construction period of 1,218 calendar days.
CRCC, CRCC 1st Bureau, CRCC 3rd Bureau, CRCC 2nd Engineering Group, CRCC 10th Bureau, and CRCC 4th Bureau won the design and construction general contract for the Xiong'an New Area to Beijing Daxing International Airport Express Line Project's third section (re-bidding) with a bid amount of RMB 3,231.95 million.
CRCC Southern, CRCC 4th Bureau, CRCC 1st Bureau, CRCC 2nd Bureau, and CRCC 3rd Bureau won the general construction contract for Shenzhen Urban Rail Transit Line 8 Phase III with a bid amount of RMB 8,077.94 million.
CRCC 10th Bureau, CRCC 4th Bureau, and others won the first section of the general construction contract for Jinan Rail Transit Line 3 Phase II with a bid amount of RMB 2,091.98 million and a construction period of 1,026 calendar days.
CRCC 4th Bureau won the civil engineering general contract for Xuzhou Urban Rail Transit Line 6 Phase I SGTJ6112 section with a bid amount of RMB 1,377.96 million and a construction period of 1,003 days; it also won the construction contract for Jianhu Parking Lot and the development reservation works for the upper cover of Shaoxing Urban Rail Transit Line 1 with a bid amount of RMB 1,232.31 million; the construction contract for Cangqian Vehicle Base V section of Hangzhou Airport Rail Transit Express Line with a bid amount of RMB 1,519.75 million and a construction period of 555 calendar days; and the construction contract for the upper cover pioneering works of Shetou Vehicle Base and Shetou Depot Complex for Xiamen Rail Transit Line 6 Zhangzhou (Jiaomei) Extension with a bid amount of RMB 1,377.44 million and a construction period of 1,081 calendar days.
CRCC 4th Bureau and others won the construction project for Xingfu Vehicle Depot and Platform Construction of Nantong Urban Rail Transit Line 2 Phase I, Lot 01, with a bid amount of RMB 1,542.15 million.
CRCC 1st Bureau won the general construction contract for Nanjing Metro Line 3 Phase III D.003.3-TA01 section with a bid amount of RMB 1,065.20 million; it also won the construction project for Sangtian Island Parking Lot and the upper cover platform of Suzhou Rail Transit Lines 2 and 6, VI-TS-13-2 section, with a bid amount of RMB 1,006.75 million and a construction period of 1,248 calendar days.
CRCC 1st Bureau, CRCC 2nd Bureau, CRCC Guangzhou Bureau, and CRCC 5th Bureau won the civil engineering construction project for the north and east extensions of Nanchang Rail Transit Line 1 and the east extension of Line 2, Lot 01, with a bid amount of RMB 3,748.64 million and a construction period of 1,461 calendar days.
CRCC, CRCC Guangzhou Investment, CRCC Tunnel Bureau, and CRCC 1st Bureau won the general construction contract for the reserved rail transit construction project of Guangzhou Baiyun Airport T3 Transport Hub with a bid amount of RMB 6,214.17 million.
CRCC 5th Bureau won the D.006.X-TA04 section of the Qixiashan Vehicle Depot for Nanjing Metro Line 6 with a bid amount of RMB 1,303.91 million and a construction period of 730 days.
CRCC and CRCC 5th Bureau won the civil engineering construction project for the second section of the west extension of Changsha Rail Transit Line 2 with a bid amount of RMB 2,099.72 million and a construction period of 35 months.
